Professional Snapshot

An overview of my professional background, experience, and current areas of work, grounded in values, ethical considerations, and a focus on impact

Positioning and Scope

My work focuses on strategic communications, language analysis, and responsible technology use in contexts where clarity, judgment, and ethical considerations matter—particularly in trust-sensitive, governance, or public-facing environments.

What distinguishes my approach is a practice grounded in long-form communications judgment, editorial discipline, and real-world decision-making in high-stakes environments, including work trusted at the executive level and within U.S. Embassy–affiliated contexts.

My work spans public affairs, NGOs, startups, and established organizations, with communication approaches adapted to different institutional contexts while maintaining consistent standards of rigor and integrity. AI tools, when used, support research, synthesis, and scale; judgment and accountability remain human-led.

Core Capabilities

Below are my core capabilities spanning strategic communications, AI-assisted workflows, trust and safety analysis, and training. My approaches are grounded in ethical practice, collaboration with subject-matter experts, and disciplined execution.

  • Strategic Communications & Editorial Leadership: External and internal communications strategy, writing, and editorial oversight.

  • AI-Assisted Content Development & Workflows: Design and use of AI-supported workflows for drafting, synthesis, and iteration to improve efficiency and consistency while preserving accuracy, editorial standards, and accountability.

  • Trust, Safety & Risk Analysis: Language-based risk assessment, public-source due diligence, signal analysis, and ethical decision-making in trust-sensitive and reputationally complex contexts.

  • Training, Facilitation & Capacity Building: Design and delivery of workshops and learning activities that strengthen writing for impact, empower non-traditional writers, and respect field and domain expertise.

  • Values, Ethics & Governance-Oriented Work: Values alignment, ethical framing, and guidance development supporting responsible practice across mission-driven organizations and growing teams.

How I Work

My approach emphasizes careful problem framing, respect for expertise, and disciplined execution—particularly in environments where communications decisions carry real-world consequences.

  • Problem Framing Before Solutions: I begin by clarifying the problem to be solved, the audience affected, and the potential risks of misinterpretation or misuse.

  • Intentional Use of AI (and Clear Limits): AI tools are used selectively to support research, synthesis, drafting, or pattern recognition where they add efficiency or scale. They are not used to replace judgment, decision-making, or accountability.

  • Human Accountability & Harm Prevention: I maintain clear human ownership of decisions, outputs, and downstream effects. This includes review of work for bias, ambiguity, reputational risk, and unintended harm, with outputs revised or discarded when risks outweigh benefits.

  • Do-No-Harm Editing & SME Respect: Editing and revision are approached with a do-no-harm mindset: preserving the intent, expertise, and voice of authors while strengthening clarity and accessibility. Subject-matter expertise is treated as foundational, not overwritten.

  • Diplomatic, Constructive Review Practices: Feedback is delivered clearly and respectfully, focusing on improving the work rather than asserting authority. I value collaborative review processes and openly receive feedback on my own work.

  • Messaging and Style Discipline: I work within established messaging frameworks and style guides to ensure consistency and credibility across materials. Where guidance is missing or unclear, I help define and document it.

  • Collaborative by Default, Accountable Individually: I work effectively within teams and cross-functional environments while maintaining clear ownership of assigned responsibilities.

  • Remote, Time Zone-Fluent Delivery: I support time-sensitive and long-form work across time zones, using structured workflows to maintain clarity, quality, and accountability even under compressed timelines.

Location & Work Context

Based in the Philippines with a permanent U.S. address, I am a U.S. citizen experienced in remote work across time zones. I primarily engage in contract, freelance, and consulting roles with startups and established organizations, and I'm available for global and U.S.-focused remote engagements.
